Notices to Scholars
Scholars are advised that requests for new documents will be suspended on Thursday 24 and Friday 25 April as well as Friday 2 May. However, in the Study Room, it will be possible to consult documents previously left on deposit.
Therefore, Scholars wishing to consult the documents of the Archives on these dates should request them in advance at the Study Room or by e-mail (archivio@aav.va) no later than Tuesday 15 April, for consultation on 24 and 25 April, and no later than Tuesday 29 April, for consultation on 2 May.

We inform the scholars that from 7 January 2025 it will be possible to access the Archives without a reservation. The number of permitted accesses will remain the same (60 places available), according the order of arrival.
For those accessing for the first time, it is still compulsory to fill in the new form available on the website of the Archives and to send the requested documents. > read more
